Why most false ceilings crack, and how we stop it
A ceiling fails at the joints, not in the middle. Boards are butted too tightly, the frame is spaced too wide, and by the second dry season the seams have opened. We set the GI frame at closer centres than the minimum, leave a deliberate expansion gap at every wall, and tape and joint in three passes. It is slower, and it is the whole difference. The same crew handles the ceiling when we take on full home interior design, so the lighting plan and the joinery are drawn together rather than negotiated on site.
The other half of the job is light. A cove is only as good as the shadow it throws, so we set the lip depth against the throw of the strip you have chosen instead of defaulting to a standard 4 inch return. Profile lights sit flush with no visible clips. Wiring, AC ducting and speaker runs are coordinated before boarding, so nothing has to be cut open later.

Measure and level check
We laser the existing slab to find the real low point. A ceiling levelled to a slab that is out by 20mm is a ceiling with a visible slope.

Frame and services
GI channels go up at closed centres, and every duct, wire and speaker run is placed and tested before a single board is lifted.

Board, tape and joint
Boards fixed with a deliberate expansion gap, then three passes of tape, compound and sanding, with a light held flat against the surface to catch every ridge.

Lighting and handover
Strips seated, profiles set flush, everything switched and tested in the dark, so you see the ceiling the way you will actually live with it.

Questions
How much does false ceiling work cost in Hyderabad?
It depends on the material, the detailing and the lighting, so we do not quote a blanket rate. Gypsum on a GI frame, a stepped design with cove lighting and a plain flat ceiling are three different jobs. After a free site visit you get an itemised quote with the specification written against every line.
Will a false ceiling make the room feel low?
Most Hyderabad flats have enough slab height to lose 100 to 150mm without the room closing in, and a peripheral cove often makes a room read taller because the light lifts the centre. We measure your actual clear height on the site visit and tell you honestly if a full ceiling is the wrong call for that room.
Gypsum or POP, which is better?
Gypsum boards on a GI frame are dimensionally stable, go up faster and crack far less, which is why we use them for almost everything. POP still wins for heavy ornamental mouldings and curves that would be wasteful to board. We will tell you which the room actually needs.
How long does a false ceiling take?
A single room is usually three to five days including finishing. A full 2 or 3 BHK runs about ten to fourteen days, because taping and jointing needs drying time between passes and rushing that is exactly what causes cracks later.
Do you handle the electrical work for the lighting?
Yes. Our own electricians route and test every circuit before boarding, and seat the strips and profiles afterwards. You are not left coordinating a separate electrician around our ceiling schedule.
